Your telling me! ha ha ..I am 46 ..and women you are talking about are in my dating range. I have heard just about everything I think, and I don't think nothing would surprise me anymore.
Hey blondie above me..Stacey Mae or whatever...I think you have been watching too much "lifetime" channel, where all men are portrayed as abusers ,or murderers.

My wife is 41, and she doesn't seem to have any hangups in particular, at least none that I can tell. Maybe all the women without hangups are in stable, long-term relationships -- she & I have been married for 20 years. Maybe being single at that age is hard on women. I know I wouldn't want to be single at this age.

Women will always have hangups; no matter what age. The thing is whether they talk about them or not. Women work off emotions not logic (I heard that from a male friend) and wanted to slap him lol; I'm a woman if you couldn't tell!! We don't have to have so many; it's also called "picking your battles" of what you want to do about your hangups .

not anywhere near your age yet, but i suppose that it has alot to do with HOLLYWOOD!! Honestly, how are we supposed to feel good about ourselves when you have those actresses, singers and models who are decades older than we are who look YOUNGER than we do? Really, who can feel good when there are those almost fifty parading around in their underwear on t.v. night after night?

What I did (snicker) was get a new t.v., one that has HD and now I sit back and really take a look at Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and the girls of Wisteria Lane! You can see all the wrinkles and lines that they are so desperate to hide as well as all of the other flaws! Cruel, I know, but it is an instant ego boost!

Well, other than the possibility of growing up in an unstable environment and/or spending a big part of their lives in an unstable environment, we women have to deal with the fact on a daily basis that we are minorities. It's a man's world. We may not think about it consciously on a daily basis, but it's instilled in us and we learn to live with it, even if it is unfair.

There are two fella's I blame for a majority of those hang-ups. Isaac Newton and Murphy with his Law. The story goes that an apple fell on Newton's head and he discovered gravity. I figure Murphy and his Law were there to make that happen.

Beyond that life is fun.

Women in their 40's are usually perimenopausal or menopausal. That's means their hormones are fluctuating, which can cause mood swings, depression, insomnia, body aches, hot flashes, night sweats, etc. It's a natural stage in life for a woman, when her body stops making estrogen, but it's very unpleasant. Hormone replacement therapy, which is usually synthetic hormones (un-natural) is dangerous and can cause cancer. If you know a woman who is going through this, suggest she use NATURAL hormone creams. They really work and she'll feel 99% better. She'll be alot more fun in bed too!

That is a generalized statement. Everyone has problems. Women don't hit 40's and suddenly get a load of problems. My suspicion is that you are basing your conclusion on a very small sample or using limited data to jump to a conclusion.

are you sure they are hangups? or just how they feel, which might not be the current popular trend in society,,, i think when you are in your 40's and 50's,, you learn to be,,, with no regrets or apologies,,,,,, you feel what you feel, doesnt matter what anyone elses personal feelings are, or if they approve of you , as to hangups, and needing to alter yourself to fit into society or your perceived concept of society, that happens at all ages,,,, i really think less so with mature women,,,
