I have a felony on my record and am finding it difficult to find a job. I'm trying to get my life back on track and need someone who is willing to take a chance on me.

Do you go to church? I'd try your local church first...talk to your pastor/priest/minister. See if he/she is willing to recommend you to someone. Sometimes a reliable person to vouch for you is what is needed. They may be willing to call or give you a letter of recommendation. Do you have any friends in businesses that would be able to give you a letter of recommendation about your character? Sometimes having the assurance you won't commit another felony is what people need.

is it possible to start your own business. do you have a skill that you can do to make money so that no one has to really check your background. you would be the boss?
