It was pattened after the Bull 'N Finch pub located in Boston, MA. After the sucess of the show, they subtitled the bar "Cheers"

Number two is correct. It is NOW called Cheers or subtitled Cheers, one of the two.

the outside location was shot at the bull and finch pub in boston, mass.the show brought the pub such publicity that to this day it's still always full because of it.
