To be honest as a teacher I have seen it done both ways and would not mark it wrong either way - however - to be grammatically you should spell it IDs.

Good Luck!!!

First rule of apostrophes:
Never use an apostrophe to make a plural
Second rule of apostrophes:
Read rule 1 again and make sure you understand it.

The problem with abbreviations is that sometimes apostrophes are used to represent missing letters, particularly in elided words such as "won't" or "can't" or "shouldn't've". This is true but the simple rule is: if you don't use an apostrophe in the singular, don't use it in the plural. Thus the plurals of TV, CD, DVD, ID are TVs, CDs, DVDs, IDs.

Remember Rule 1 and all you really need to know about apostrophes is how to use them for possession

IDs. There's way too many apostrophes flyin' around these days, being inserted in places they were never meant to go.

its IDs. using the apostrophe makes it posessive not plural.

ok upon further review, an apostrophe is only used if the abbreviation has internal punctuation.
