Yes. They can be kept as pets, indeed they make good pets because they have the capacity to learn new things and are friendly when accustomed to people. But they are still a wild animal as they are not a domestic species like a goat or a dog.

Only if you tread on its feet, But seriously, yes it live in the wild in the sea so it is a wild animal, it does not have to be a man eating savage, it just have to live out side

Yes, they're wild unless like...bred in captivity. They can live in captivity and stuff, but horses are the same way.
