I have a 1977 hot wheel police car. Its a little beat up, but thats it. Would it be worth anything?

The car you have is still in current production. Without a picture, It is hard to tell what version you have, but the original was made in Hong Kong ( later models in Malaysia ). The oldest model being a white police care with black doors. In mint shape, it only demands around $8-$10. In played with shape, it drops to around maybe $1-$2.
The rarest version is one made in France that is Blue and says Airport Security in Yellow. That can be almost $80-$100.
