A friend of mine has a blanket made out of old jeans.. just squares of different colors sewn together.

I've made purses, hats, patchwork pillows and a gorgeous braided rug with old jeans that took best of division at our county fair. I've got a couple quilts with them in the works.
My rug braiding teacher also quilts, she does these really cool denim quilts that she stitches all sorts of cool labels onto, we all save cool clothing and blanket lables for her. She even leaves some pockets on the jeans so the kids she gives them to have places to put their treasures.

Yes you can cut off the jeans and make a purse. put ribbon in the loop of the jeans to be use as a draw string. Cut the jean, just above the seat, turn to the wrong side and sew across the bottom. Use made use the pockets to put your cell phone and other things in.

Some stuff I've seen or made myself:
1. a skirt. they're cute
2. a purse. I made one and my freinds all loved them, and i went out and bought cheap jeans to make them as gifts.
3. a quilt cover. I saw it in a decorating magazine.
4. you could use the jeans to cover a message board. make it more interesting.
5. turn them into pillows
6. waxing strips if the fabric isn't too thick
7. u can use the fabric to decorate boxes for storage. i actually saw that on a show last night
8.cut-offs
9. re-upholster furniture
10. cover a headboard

I've see people who had a favorite pair of jeans that they can no longer wear and wash and Iron them and place them in a picture frame big enough to hold them and then place pictures of themselves wearing the jeans. It was a cute way to pay respect to a nice pair of jeans that they loved.

We just use old clothes as rags, cut it up and use when cleaning the house or car.

you could give them to a Salvation Army store and get a tax refund. You could also give them to a Goodwill or something.
