no need to bust a bank account, it's just one night but the dress description does sound a little plain. hmm okay heres what you should do if you have any gently used stores near by go there look for a dress that is extravagent yet a good price and buy it, i know a bunch of girls who went to a gently used store and got a dress for atleast $50 if not a lil more they looked gorgeous and you couldnt notice. try it. but there is also another way, i dont think it's the right thing to do but again i know a bunch of people who do it they go the day before a special event find an amazzing dress wear it for one night then return it the next day without any stains or what not on it and get their money back. If you have a friend borrow a dress from them, there may be a dress rental where you live, just as long you look nice and impressive! that's important but if it's absolutely impossible then wear what you have and just go all out with hair make up and accessories hope this helps?

a hoop is a emblem, it does not outline. i latterly lost my wedding ceremony band - it slipped off at the same time as we were planting this previous spring. I actual have worn that ring for fantastically a lot 24 years now. it truly is between the few cloth issues that had meaning. I remind myself it truly is in effortless words a fabrics 'aspect' yet i'm unhappy it truly is lengthy previous. we do not have the money proper this second to change it, yet we are able to quicker or later. So, immediately i'm married and by no skill donning a hoop (I by no skill needed an engagement ring). i attempt to comic tale about it - I tell my husband to save his distance after we are out as i'd be able to p.c.. someone up - lol. also, i recognize couples who're allergic (I actual have a buddy who won't be able to placed on any metallic) or whose jobs require they placed on no earrings. at times there are good causes human beings do not placed on a hoop at the same time as married. I probable does not be conscious if someone replaced into not donning a hoop. It does not be counted to me.

Well the black dress sounds perfect, but I don't know about silver sandals in Jan unless you live someplace really warm. Don't worry about shinning, it's the bride's day to shine.
When I was young I made a big a-s-s of myself by overdoing to go to a wedding, I wore a WHITE dress, so I am sure nothing you could do could come even close to my faux pas. I am glad I never see any of those people.
Have a good time, I love weddings! (even after that lol)

You can go to a forever 21 or a Charlotte Ruse and find a nice dress for under 30$. It would be better to look nice and be rememberd by the inlaws by the way you looked at the wedding than how bad you looked. First impressions are everything.

Your dress sounds ok, but maybe buy some new shoes, a new purse to update your look? I know that itès hard to look for a dress that you will only wear for what you say is for "One Night". But ask yourself: "Will I be confident wearing this dress?" Because if you are feeling confident... like you said, you are meeting some of his family for the first time.
Remember, you CAN wear a dress again for other weddings and occasions, if you choose to buy a new one.. Just because you buy a dress doesn't mean you have to put it away.
What I sometimes do is ask friends who are the same size as me, and ask to borrow a dress of their, and then offer them the same in return if they ever need to borrow clothes for events.
Have fun!

I would wear a nice silky knee lenght dress in a soft pink with matching heels and purse to match the shoes and dress and off white hose and nails to match.

If you want to really impress your future family, you should wear a low-cut dress with a slit all the way up, and don't wear any panties. You'll get every man's attention, and it will make your boyfriend smile from ear to ear. Hey, live it up!!

As long as you don't wear white, I don't see the problem in wearing what you already have. The dress you have sounds nice and besides, how will they know that you didn't go out and buy that dress especially for the occasion?
