Do they wear out, or get brittle? Just lose eleasticity? Or do they stay super-bouncy forever?

They could probably get brittle, but other than that, I think it'll bounce forever. I have a bouncy ball from when I was 5 years old. Gave it away though. I think it still bounces. :P

The Superball's made of Zectron that sold in the 60's did get dry and brittle over time. The little rubber balls they sell today are made of a different material, but I imagine they would do the same thing.

they probably get brittle, like dry rot. think of eleastic in sweat pants or underwear that you had from when you were a kid.

Step on them or freeze and throw them and they will definitely loose there bounce forever, or at least until the pieces are melted back together.

Mine always bounce away and get lost, so I don't know.
