It depends on the curve ball. But for the most part I would say that curve balls are a challenge to be dealt with. If you come out the other side in one piece then it made your life more interesting. If you came out the other side injured in some way (whether physically, emotionally or financially) then it made your life miserable.

No, only if the curve ball is made of chocolate. A curve ball can be a good thing, such as my husband's grandmother having an unexpected pregnancy at age 42! My hubby's aunt is only 6 years older than my sister-in-law, and 3 years older than another of her nieces, so that was interesting for the family! :D
