I was looking at my college undergraduate degrees and one was international business with an emphasis on east asia

Middle east is the middle part of the world on the eastern side (Europe is on west), therefore it is nowhere in Asia. East Asia is definitely China & Japan.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes East Asia usually means China/Japan/Korea. I've sometimes seen Mongolia and sometimes south-east Asia (Vietnam etc.) included. Definitely not the Middle East which is the southwestern part of Asia.

earlier unification, Xinjiang and Tibet did not belong to China the way as Colorado and California not belonging to usa of america earlier the unification, however the unification of Xinjiang , Tibet and China befell 2 hundred years till now than Colorado and California united with usa of america. China is actual huge, yet I dont know if Xianjiang might properly be seen significant Asia. .
