It has no effect on straight Americans. "To each his own" "thou shalt not judge
lest ye be judged"This is a diversion issue that splits the nation a little more so we don't notice important issues that mean something.
If two human beings can find love in this crazy depressing world, who am I to say you can't marry each other. Marriage, between man and woman is not sacred. This is a form of racism, just like a " colored bathroom" or what women went through.
Be a good American, be a good Christian, live and let live.

Why is this in the "politics" category?? Doesn't have
much to do with politics as I see it. Maybe the "social"
category. eh? There are no pro's to gay marriage. It
changes the American Family as we've always known
it. Children need a Mother and a Father which works
out best for everyone. Gay marriages changes the
nuclear family. Not a good idea. I think I liked it better
when "they" were in the closet with the door closed.

Besides the fact that it shouldn't really affect heterosexuals in any kind of way, it would help gays and lesbians gain health care and be able to gain the basic rights that regular married couples have: adoption, seeing each other in the hospital & basic legal rights. I don't have a problem with that. I don't see why anyone should feel threatened by that. And on the lighter side, they can borrow each other's clothes which is cool....
