Ok the best catheter to use is called the Texas T it sounds crazy but there is such a thing. This is how it works. Instead of the tube that goes inside there is a comdum on the end with a tube attached to it that leads to the bag. This would probly work better for him and work better. Ask a doctor about it first to see if is right for him.

1)wash his penis with soap and water and a disinfectant.
2)Make sure the catheter is sterile!
3)Using sterile technique (i.e. sterile gloves)lubricate the end of the catheter with sterile water soluable lube
4) insert cather until you have a urine flow established
5) make sure you have a receptacle for the urine!!
6) when the urine flow stops pull the catheter (gently) out and clean up
Now whyTF can't your bf put his own catheter in? I sure hope this isn't some kind of kinky crap - if so - EEWWW!

Please tell me that you aren't doing this for fun. Catheters used freqently or for long periods of time can cause bladder and kidney infections.
If he's doing it for medical reasons, he probably already knows how to do it and could show you how if wanted to help him.
Make sure you do it with sterile gloves and clean off the head of the penis with sterile solution before you do anything! You will reduce the risk of infection that way.

you shouldnt be inserting his catheter. his doctor or nurse should.

AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, YOU CAN HURT YOUR BF.
ASK YOUR BF'S DOCTOR OR NURSE IF YOU SHOULD BE DOING THIS?
