I don't know if even America can feed his ego at this point. I heard he wants to be an actor now too.

I dont think its a blow to his ego, as hes basically been on the fringes of Madrids 1st team for a while now. They forced his hand really, it just makes sense for him to cut his losses now. His contract doesnt start till August so basically if he opts out of Madrid now then he will be going to L.A. unpaid for 7 months, not that he needs the money, but i think we should get off his back, after all he is helping the kids progress over there.

I am a Brit living in the USA and trust me the average American does not give a flying pop about Beckham or football period....
Often he is mentioned as an aside as being Posh's husband, but basically both of them are pretty much seen as has beens.......
Hopefully some one else will be given a chance to shine, with him gone.

Maybe now Americans will give a crap about soccer... naaah probably not, americans are far too isolated and xenophobic to care about what the rest of the world cares about, whether it's sports or world politics.

Well it has already been made clear that he will not play for Real again, only train. Why would any player want to remain at a club under those conditions. Capello doesn't want him, so let him go.
