What would you keep from your significant other?

My last question asked was about a dream last night. I had one about an ex-girlfriend. I wouldn't tell my wife about it because it would hurt her feelings and cause some friction. I don't want either of the two.

I wouldn't say anything. Honestly; it was a dream =) and techinally nothing has happened. Sometimes you just dream dreams, you know? Unless there some issues you guys are working on or think need to be worked on, I wouldn't bring it up. I've had dreams of exes and people I've known either I liked or hated...nothing came out of it; I think you're safe!

I think it's good to be able to discuss past relationships. As long as that girl is out of your life and you dont still want to get back with her your wife should have no problem hearing you tell her about a dream. It was just a dream. The dream doesn't change the love you have for the woman you chose to spend the rest of your life with.

I tell my fiance everything pretty much. Oh unless my former boyfriend had something embarressing that he told only to me. Then i wouldn't tell that.

Some things are better kept to yourself. Dreams, Fanasty's, Sexual Thoughts....things of that nature unless they are about your current spouse. Or you can always say something like honey my best friend had a dream about his ex girlfriend and he told his wife and she got really mad and did not talk to him for a while. How would you reach? Maybe put it to her that way and see what her reaction is.. if she says that she would be mad too then you know not to say anything but then again we kinda play that card and say we will not get mad just to see what your answer is. Even though you don't want her (your ex) in a womens mind if your thinking about her or dreaming about her then you do want her and it will be very hard to clear that up later on.

From a womans perspective, I wouldn't tell your wife. Besides it was just a dream, not actually true. But if you have a guilty consious then go ahead and tell her. Seeing that you two are married I would think she would understand. Good Luck!

That I had cheated on my first husband. We are now divorced but not because I had cheated. We had alot of problems. I am now married to another man and I am afraid that if he were to find out then he would not trust me. He does not approve of people who cheat when they are married. The man that I cheated with is no longer living and I still miss him. I do love my husband alot and he does love me.

a dream is not something you can control, for the most part. i've had dreams about my past relationships. i left them on the pillow...no need to explain it to her. why would you want to hurt her feelings? unless you plan on acting out your dream...

I would tell my mate everything. Even though it would their feelings, they will trust you and know that your= are honest. I would keep something that don't relate to me. For example, if someone else tells me something its not my business to open my mouth.
