I know not to check my email using Outlook Express, because it will empty my inbox on my Tiscali mail...all I did was open Outlook Express and look at some settings, without changing anything and when I opened up my regular email, all the folders were empty. I am really upset about this because I had some important emails in a Saved folder. Could someone please tell me why this happened and if there is a way to retrieve my emails? The inbox ones are still in Outlook Express, but my Sent, Saved, etc. aren't on either now.

Don't know if this will help but did you check the Deleted Items folder to see if by chance the missing emails are there? There's a possibility you might have a virus or trojan on your computer that's causing those emails to disappear. Assuming you have an antivirus program installed, if you run a full scan and you still have the same problem, you might consider a backup utility such as Outlook Express Backup Genie:

Or maybe you can find a free utility from this site:

you want to reproduction the .DBX archives (it truly is the Outlook convey digital mail archives). that's in this course C: --> archives and Settings {your profile call} close by SettingsApplication DataIdentities {some bunch of numbers} MicrosoftOutlook convey in this folder you'll be sure a lot's of archives with the extension ".dbx". only reproduction those DBX to the different pc in everywhere and from Outlook convey do an import and choose import from: Microsoft Outlook convey 4 or 6 (your version) -> click next and in the window that looks opt for the alternative that announces "Import Mail from and OE6 listing" this is a radio button that looks lower than the field that announces substantial identity. Do a ok and it is going to ask you to point the area of the messages . click on the browse button and factor it to the area of you're folder the position you copied the .dbx archives. close Outlook convey and open it back, you'd be able to be sure each and each of the folders now in the Outlook convey :-)

Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.
