No. They're from different families. Bettas are from the family Osphronemidae while guppies are from the family Poeciliidae. They require different environmental conditions as well, so it'd be difficult to place them together.

no bettas can not mate with guppies.you have to buy a female betta but can only put her in with the male when there is bubble build up at the top of tank so the eggs can be stored in them. buy a male and female guppie and you will have lots of babies real fast within a month or two.but be carefull if you have the betta and the guppies in the same tank cause the betta will eat the guppie babies.

No, they're different species of fish and can't interbreed. Please don't try it! Bettas are aggressive toward each other, and the long flowing fins of fancy guppies look enough like betta fins to trigger that aggression.
