look guys i am thinking about buying ps2 but i don't know how much longer they will be selling the games for ps2 since ps3 came out and i can't buy the ps3 because it's just too expensive for me now

I just bought PS2 On 31st December 2006 thinkin that PS2 is still running wild and the games are very much available.
As of November 2006, the PS2 still outsells its competition, the GameCube, Xbox, and Xbox 360 in North America, Europe and Japan, and the PlayStation 3 and Wii in North America (Playstation 3 not released in Europe).
I also learnt that ps3 games will be available on blue ray rom which is very expensive.
So, go for it and enjoy!

Sure buy yourself a PS2, they will still continue selling PS2 games and even if they do become hard to find, people sell everything and anything on EBay. I have bought various games for older game systems on there and had lots of success with doing so!

a ps2 is a good buy. their pretty cheap now, and they are going to continue making games for the ps2 for a while yet. besides, there are already more than enough great games on the ps2 to keep you busy until the price on the ps3 drops to something more reasonable. go for it.

They will continue to sell PS2 games because many people won't buy a PS3 for 900 dollars and YES you should in EBGames they are about 130dollars which is a good price

If you want one get one. They'll still sell the PS2 games for a long time. You can still find PS games, so I wouldn't worry about the PS2 games disappearing anytime soon.

why not? they'll make ps2 games for a while yet. at least until everbody has a ps3 (which could take a while) and sales decline dramatically.
