HONESTY, Integrity, Intelligence, Morality (not to be confused with religion), a lack of Arrogance, and KNOWING the people they are leading.

My primary view of "leadership" is through the military and my later jobs rather than politics... a Congressman/woman is sadly first and foremost a "politician" rather than a leader.

I served for 15 years in the US Navy as a "follower" always, and often as a "leader"... whether it was as petty officer and "watch officer" , or later as a Lieutenant Commander and "Department Head".

IF.. You LIE: you lose everything. You show a lack of Integrity: you lose honor. You don't know your job: you lose respect. You bend the rules: you lose authority. You act too "big": you lose respect. You don't know your people: you lose THEM.

My best "leaders"... Lt D.W. Pocklington, AWCS Mongan, Capt. Tomhlanson, and my old supervisor "Rosie" Matthews

President George Bush is an accomplished man.

He graduated Yale, flew fighter jets and ran a successful major league baseball team.

He was governor of Texas and was re-elected by a wide margin.

He won acclaim from liberals for his ability to work with them.

It wasn't until he reached the poisoned air of Washington DC and the National Liberal Biased Media that he suddenly became the liberals favorite enemy.

They must be honest at all times with their followers and know how to please the majority. In many books Hitler is considered a good leader yet, morally he wasn't good. A Good leader shouldn't have to say in so many words " i don't care what you think im doing it my way"
