Well I have personally read both series.... I think that you could read the "It Girl" series without reading the "Gossip Girl" Series... One of the main characters in the "it Girl" series is one of the characters in the "Gossip Girl" series, Jennifer Humphrey (spelling?) But the "Gossip Girl" series deals with the Upper East Side of New York City social scene for the teens.. Jenny is not one of the main characters, you do see her in the books but in the "It Girl" series she is more of a main character and it is her journey in boarding school. The do intertwine because Jenny does interact with some of the characters in the "gossip Girl" series like her brother Dan but I really feel that if you don't want to really read the "Gossip Girl" series you should be just fine reading the "It Girl" series. Have fun!!!!

I may have the wrong books in mind, but if I don't, then yes you can. The "It Girl" series I'm familiar with is the one from Silhouette Bombshell, with socialites turned spies, right? (The ones with silhouettes on the covers) Those have no connection to a Gossip Girl series--not from the same publisher, anyway.
