Does anyone know about Russian Alternative Medicine?

I met a Russian Doctor in the US. He did a brief talk on his work and what he can do for ailments. He said that we have spots on our hands that coordinate with out health. He used a little pick tool and pressed it on certain spots to relieve pain. My neck pain went away when he did this. Is this all for REAL? Anyone heard of this?

He is with the SU JOK ACADEMY. Help????

The official site is below gives a lot of info and also lists treatment cebtres. Like Chinese medicines and acupuncture this is an area which we in the west are way behind. If it works for the individual then thats all that matters;
