In order to build a such a device you first need to understand what a 'zero atmosphere' environmental suit does.

At the earth's surface the atmosphere pushes down with approx. 15lbs per square inch of pressure. So all organisms require that same amount of pressure to survive. So the first thing your suit needs to do is be able to apply 1 atmosphere of pressure to the body.

Next, the atmosphere around the planet does a certain amount of filtering, UV radiation, Xrays, Cosmic particles, etc. So the next thing your suit needs is to be able to protect its occupant from these harmful wavelengths.

Things start to get complicated after this, but you get the idea.

Check with the nasa.gov website. I'm sure they would have more relevant information.

If you want one that really works, you can't afford to make one.
