At 12dpo a blood test will be somewhat more accurate than a urine test. (Mind you blood tests are always slightly more accurate, some women never test positive using a urine test).
Honestly though I would wait until at least 14days dpo to take a test. Then test again at 21 days dpo before going to the doctor. I know it is hard to wait but honestly knowing or not shoudln't change anything.

If you've already taken home pregnancy tests and you tell the doctor at the clinic they will most likely give you a blood test and we all know that's a sure thing. If you tell them that you haven't taken any home pregnancy tests or that you did take a couple and they came out negative they will most likely give you one that is pretty much just like a home pregnancy test. I hear home pregnancy tests are pretty good though, but they are never 100 percent certain so if you're pretty sure you are and you want to know I would try to get a blood test. Best of luck to you.

Go to your doctor and get a blood test, where your at now it probly wont show up on a home test. I have taken homes test that have said no and i was pregnant(but i was having a misscarige) the doc confirmed pregnancy with a blood test. I would say thats the best way to go. ANd besides even if you take an at home test my obgyn still made me come in for one in the office. Good luck.

When I had a postive result on a home pregnancy test, I called my doctor to set up an appointment for a blood test-just to make sure!! He told me that home pregnancy tests were very accurate and if it said I was pregnant, then I was, and he would see my in 8-10 weeks!!

Home pregnancy tests are very accurate when taken correctly and at the proper time. You are still early yet - you should be waiting until you're at least a couple of days late and even then you might not be producing enough hormone to get positive result if you are pregnant. Be patient.

a Doctors visit will be the most reliable, however I was told that home pregnancy tests are very accurate. You can probably go ahead and try one that will read about 5 days before your first missed period. Good Luck!

A doctors office is going to most likely use a urine test in office which is the same as a home pregnancy test. Yhe office I work for uses first response test.
