San Diego, based purely on talent, may have the best lineup in the AFC. But that is not all that matters. Bill Bellichik innovated both the offensive and defensive game plans several times during the game. Coach Schottenheimer cost the Chargers a 6 point shift in the 1st quarter. The Patriots (Kraft, Pioli and Bellichik) would not even have a Shawn "Balco" Merriman on the roster, with all that chest pounding and acting like an idiot on routine plays. The Patriots squeaked past a damn good team.
