I have a lot of questions. I'm only going to start with four for now, though.

1]How many calories are need to change 1 gram of 0C ice to water?

2]How many calories are needed to change the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1C? Wouldn't this answer be 1 calorie?

3]How many calories are needed to melt 1 gram of 0C ice and turn it to water at a room temperature of 23C?

4]A 50-gram sample of ice at 0C is placed in a glass beaker that contains 200g of water at 20?.
a]How much heat is needed to melt the ice?
b]By how much would the temperature of the water change if it gave up this much heat to the ice?
c]What will be the final temperature of the mixture? [Disregard any heat absorbed by the glass or given off by the surrounding air.]

Please tell me you're not too lazy to do your homework. These sound like a science lab was done.

1) 77 calories per gram for ice, in most cases (you need to have values for the volume of ice melted, and the energy applied, but it's typically around 77. For example, 4600 calories / 60 ml of ice gets you 77).

2) That's the definition of a calorie. 1 gram of water by 1 degree C is a calorie. Correct!

3) You can do that math on that - 77 calories to melt 1 gram of ice, plus 23 calories to increase one gram of water by 23 degrees. Give you a hint - 77+23=100.

4) a) 50 grams of ice times 77 calories per gram = 3850 calories to melt the ice.
b) The water would loose 3850 calories. 200 ml of water giving up 3850 calories. 3850/200 = 19.25 degrees lost.
c) Ice, right after melting, is 0 degrees. The water was 20 and lost 19.25 degrees. You get a gold star for figuring this out.

Hope this helps. Now do some practise questions just to make sure you understand how you got these answers.

at the beginning on an identical time as you end eating to drop some pounds, your metabolism slows down with the objective to make amends for the shortcoming of supplementations and minerals, for this reason glucose as solid as fat and proteins won't be used up particularly speedy and so as which you wont actually drop some pounds ( possibly 1kg or 2kg ). Cells are continuosly respiratory interior the physique, they choose glucose to try this, and so a end is additionally made that the physique demands a delicate provide of glucose ( it is provided in Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ), in case you do no longer grant this, then those cells ought to no longer artwork effectively. fat are saved capability, they are needed on an identical time as you venture, a million unit of fat gives you 2X the quantity of power on an identical time as in evaluation to a million unit of glucose. So fat is maximum severe for the size of venture and diverse actual activites, it particularly is not meant to gas you for the day. After Glucose and fat were depleted, the physique will start to interrupt down proteins for power, for this reason they are going to choose the factors wherein proteins are noted in enormous numbers, the muscle mass!. Thats why they are asserting muscle mass are the regular to go.
