Well I think the true, open-minded liberal thing to do is hurl insults at him! Right? I just love the answers so far. When it comes to ANY discussion of race, there is NO discussion. This way, unpleasant facts don't have to muddy the water. And, if someone does have the audacity to cite an unpalattable factoid, the propoer way to handle them is to use the standard repetoire of conversation-stopping names.(Hater!{My personal favorite} Bigot! Racist!...et al.
BTW - Answers would be taken much more seriously when punctuation is used correctly.

Unfortunately, some warped people just like to spread hatred. The problem is, when they do, they provoke others to do the same. Making enemies is easy, but why would you want to?

He or she is interested in race, why is that bad? Why are some of you fearful of race questions or statements. Discussions of truth about race problems are very good for healing? If you want to be honest!

well it depends on the substance. if it is asking about culture thats diff. but if it is asking about what is wrong with a certain race that anyone who ask such a question is wrong.
