I have this sentence

The service supplier should provide the user an access report (in) every 3 months;

Do I need to use the word (in) in this sentence ?

I am confused ?

Please help

no, say this, The service supplier should provide the user an access report in 3 months and every 3 months thereafter

you don't need the 'in' but it sounds like you do need the word 'with' between 'user' and 'an'

although I don't know what the sentence means... it just sounds better to me..

in could relate to any time within the 3 months (ie the next day ,loose the "in")
