Those who deny that this is racism have no understanding of what racism is.

As everybody agrees, Shilpa Shetty is being bullied because Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd are insecure that Shilpa is successful, intelligent, beautiful, blah blah.

Because of the people that they are they deal with this by bullying her, picking on her, trying to "take her down a notch".

The POINT is that in order to do this they FOCUS on the fact that she is Indian. They victimise her by mocking the fact that she is different from them, by singling her out constantly as "The Indian" (yes she IS Indian, but identifying someone solely by the group to which they belong and not by their name as an individual is intended IS prejudice).

The fact that her race is the first thing they run to, and the first thing they target, when they want to bully her IS racist. The fact that they are targeting her because they are insecure, and not necessarily originally because of her race is irrelevant.

Those who can't see that this is racism are either blind or not watching their TVs, The whole show is an outrage and this has totally exposed Jade for what she is! She has lost all credibility! Before CBB she had a booming future with endorsement and sponsorship deals, No one will want to touch her now except the Ku Klux Clan, being on this show and having that attitude has cost her millions! I think when dani gets out Teddy sherringham will dump her, Jack will see Jades fortunes disappear and leave her, But he is a dimwit anyway, and Jo will go back to being a relative hasbeen, Where she could have used the show to show off a great personality leading to TV presentation work! After this it makes me want Shilpa to win! Though i'll be honest i wanted Donny Tourette to win! But he legged it over Jade and Co!

As far as class is concerned Class is also extremely important to Indians, So Shilpa may be a little Class conscious (Caste) That is to do with her Culture, This all seemed to start when Jackiey couldnt say Shilpa's name right at the start, She didn't even try!
Even Carphone Warehouse are talking about withdrawing sponsorship of the program now!

Shilpa is definetly was being bullied at first but now it is turning into racism. Some people are saying that it is not racism it is bullying but when someone makes fun of someone because of their accent, culture it is racism. They are making fun of her because she is different to them. Anyway that is what I think and another thing if it is not racism then why are MPs and now Gordon Brown getting involved. Shilpa is our guest in this country and her stay here so far has not been very welcoming!

I think it's mean and bullying (I saw Jade, Jo and Danielle bitching the other day) and it did come across as spiteful, particularly when Danielle and Jo both denied anything and said 'we love you' blah, blah, blah when confronted by Shilpa, but I'm not convinced it's racism. Shilpa is a beautiful, articulate and intelligent girl and I think the others feel threatened, so regardless of race she would have been the target anyway. The only time I felt uncomfortable was when Jade's thing that calls itself her mum kept referring to Shilpa as 'the Indian' and saying she couldn't pronounce her name, it's hardly rocket science!. Also, Jade should be aware of what could be construed as racism as I think her Father was of mixed race?

i think its over nuffink last year when poor jodie marsh was getting bully no 1 seemed that intersted but because shilpa is indian then it has 2 be made in to a big deal about race . its stupid really. jade wasnt inncent but nither was shilpa she doesnt mean to irrate her but the way she goes bout things seems to anger jade like sayimg she has never been talked to like that before and every 1 should have respect for her when jade has been brought up with earning respect when shilpa has always just had it. i think the public should think carefully about this a bit more before throwing accusations around .

Shilpa was having a good go at the housemates as well is that class as reversed racism. Calling someone a dog has nothing to do with racism she Shilpa or whatever her names shilka etc, bullied quite a few people why has no-one noticed that. She wanted to play with the tigers but had not made sure she knew how to clip the claws and now she is moaning. Why have people of colour always have a chip on their shoulder. She Madamoiselle Shulpa loves being called Madam or Ma'am, i find that she has a hell of an opinion of herself and must come down to earth for a change. How can English people allow her and keep her in the house when she continuesly refers to the housemates as common, low-classed etc etc, what is that called. She is nasty and i do not like her. Not because she is beautifull have a great figure that is not in the picture at all but because of her higher than mighty attitude.

Why did they call her a dog? Is it anything to do with race though? It may just be that they don't like her, nothing to do with her skin colour. I only watched the 1st episode and Shilpa seamed a bit stuck up. I can't say that she is because I saw literally 2 minutes of her. That is just the first impression. But unless they say something about the colour of her skin or the country that she is from, then I wouldn't think it is racism. It may be bullying but only because they don't get on, it doesn't make it any better though.

I agree. Shilpa is being bullied but I don't think it's racism, because it's mainly Jo, Danielle and Jade doing it and I think it's because they are jealous because Shilpa is a prettier, classier woman than any of them! But I still think Jermaine should win because he's quite funny now he's coming out of his shell with the Jackson 5 thing. :)

It has got to the stage that I have infact emailed Big Brother with my concerns. This surely cannot continue without action on Big Brothers part. I get reallt embarressed watching the show. The behaviour of the 3 amounts to no more than bullying, humilliation and racial harrasment.
Big brother will really need to act or impressionable people watching the show will think it is ok to act this way.
Bear in mind, "a racist incident is any incident deemed to be racis by the victim or any orther person present".
Will C4 act??????
