If it's a mechanical pencil, just take the eraser out of the top, and tip it upside down, dispose of the small pieces of lead, and then refill your pencil with your new lead. Put your eraser back into the empty hole where you took it out originally, and then push down on it, and the lead will come out the other end. Good luck... Or just buy a new pencil!

If your talking about a mechanical pencil, all you do is just take the eraser out, take the lead out and put the right type back in. But if your talking about a regular pencil, you can't take lead out, you sharpen it, or just get a new one.

if it is a mechanical pencil, open the cap on the top and put a piece of lead, and just keep pressing the cap until the lead shows up on the bottom, if it is a regular pencil, just sharpen it

If its a good pencil (mechanical type) you can either unscrew the writing end, or pull the rubber end off. Depending on which type.
You can buy re-fills from WHSMITH.
If it's a cheap plastic pencil dont bother. Just get a new one.

well....I really think you are smart enough to get this one....unless it is a mechanical pencil....then you pull of the eraser.. and put some new lead in...just look on the pencil to see what size of led it is...
