Ethical...no. Health dilemma...yes.
The only Ethical point I can see to it, is if it is Ethical for tanning companies to advertise something they know to be hazardous.
A big ethical issue that I can think of is dr's, attorneys people of that nature having relationships with their patients/clients.
Say a psychologist develops and affair with patient, is it ethical for them to continue the affair, knowing they are in a power position and have an influence of the thoughts and actions of that patient. They have to realize the difference between love and transference.

I really think you need to find something better than tanning. First, I'm not sure exactly what is the ethical dilemma in regards to tanning. You MIGHT get skin cancer someday, but most people do not. And most people do not tan nearly enough to really have it affect them. A more appropriate ethical dilemma is something like deciding whether or not to have an abortion when you've been impregnated during rape. But good luck.

Tanning for a teen is not an ethical dilemma - by know they should know that it's a long-term health risk. The only reason someone would tan would be for vanity's sake, and that hardly outweighs the longterm risk, especially if the person is a habitual tanner.
If you still want to use tanning as an issue, try using the position of a tanning salon owner. They know that their product can be unhealthy, but they need to do something to support themselves and their family. Try to develop that conflict for your essay.

it really warms my heart to see that you actually do care about others and you're so responsible. however, we're all adults here. when we go tanning, when we buy a pack of cigarettes, when we drink alcohol or take a painkiller - we know what's going to happen. we may not always think about those risks, but we very well know they're there. you really need a job and i think at this point you "gotta do what you gotta do". some people in your position would go and sell pot and coke without worrying too much about their community.... but it really is nice to see how much you care. so take up the job and live your life, seriously. you need that right now. best of luck.

You could turn it into an ethical dilemna if you add that they are lazy members of society, living off of others work , while others around them starve everyday...etc
Another choice might be whether one should abort a child who will be born with disabilities. If you abort you are intolerant of the rights of the disabled as human beings who by their humanness have the same right to life as non disabled...if you don`t abort you are increasing the demand on medical and social services....something to think about....

NO it's not a good one. What does tanning have to do with ethicnics? Write and think about something important, not tanning. TANNING IS NOT IMPROTANT, NOT A DILEMMA! You think of something else, it's not my homework, this is all the help you get from me!

Its definitely different. When choosing an essay topic, the most important thing is that you can speak in an informed and passionate way about it. If you have an idea on how to do this, run with it!

That's not a question of ethics, it's a question of common sense. Ethics involves moral decisions, like whether or not to steal, rape, wreck, lie, cheat...
