Most department stores have a 'uniform' section. Most towns have a 'uniform store' which is usually located near the local hostpital. Just check your phone book yellow pages for 'uniforms'.

There are costume shops which will rent you the costumes for your production, or, if you think your movie will be seen by a paying public, you can get free rentals for a mention at the end of the movie, in the credits.
Whenever you've seen "Special Thanks to...." in the credits, followed by a whole list of company names, they've contributed some product or service but didn't get paid for it. They're in publicity, and if the movie tanks, they get a deduction.
If your movies a hit I expect to see MY name in those credits now ;)
