try thinking of something different before going to bed. I used to dream about work every night. I'm not sure if it was cause I was stressed out or what but it finally stopped. Well I'm also not working right now. I know that when I get sweaty or hot at night I will have bad dreams. SO I make sure the heater is on low and I dont wear lots of clothes to bed.

It is possible I do it all the time, I also can pick up where I left off on a dream too. It's really cool and very easy. All you have to do is about an hour before bedtime clear your head and think only about what you want to dream and how you want the dream to go. It really works.

Last night I had a dream of an old ex girlfriend from almost 10 years ago. I was really in love with her. I was with her in the dream, and then I woke up next to my wife. I would never tell her about this dream.

It IS possible.

Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer experience and sometimes enabling direct control over the content of the dream.

The complete experience from start to finish is called a lucid dream. Stephen LaBerge, a popular author and experimenter on the subject, has defined it as "dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming."

Certainly its possible. Just lay in bed at night with your eyes shut and start to think about whatever it is you'd like to dream, fantasize about it if you will, I wouldn't put too much creativity in it just enough to get your mind going and I'm sure once you drift off you will carry on with that fantasy in a dream. But remember, when you awake in the morning, dont get up in a rush, or you wont be able to remember your dream. Good luck.

Yes. When you dream your sub-conscious mind is making your dreams. If you can tap into this place in your mind you can control your dreams. I also find that thinking about what you want to dream before you go to bed helps.

I can sometimes control my dreams when I am at a half-asleep state of mind.

I can be thinking about something completely random before I go to bed, and dream about something else that has nothing to do with that random thing. So no...I have no control over my dreams whatsoever

Oh yes very much so and I've been pretty successful at it . I just concentrate on a thought when drifting off and often dream of it .

There is something called lucid dreaming. After a while, your brain tells you that you are dreaming and you can control what happens in your dream. Trouble is, whrn it happens to me, I get so excited at the prospect, I wake up!
