marriages end in divorce because:
people marry for wrong reasons
infidelity
money problems
lack of communication
but that doesn't make marriage overrated. for those who marry the right people for the right reasons and work on their marriage, it can be a fulfilling life experience. and it also comes in handy with legal issues as well.

I enjoy being married - it's nice to have someone to come home to every night and to wake up beside every morning. But I do agree that some people marry for the wrong reasons.

It is not overrated, in my humble opinion. People have a tendency to want to have their cake and eat it, too. I've never been married, so this by no means sound advice.

No it's not overrated. People just should rush into anything. Plus if people would stop cheating then that would be a start.

i think its because people marry with out thinking. people date for like 2 months and get married. me and my bf have been dating for 3 years and we arnt jumping the gun. whats the hurry? i dont think its overrated. i think people need to work harder on their relationships. if it was worth getting married, shouldnt it be worth time and effort to realize why you got together in the first place?
And i think some people get married just because they get knocked up and dont stop to think that maybe it would be better for the kids for them not to get married

People tend to get married because of societal pressures, and because they think they "have" to. They do so prior to enjoying their own lives first, and they suffer for it later on.
Marriage, as we know it, is increasingly an outdated concept.
