Snakes can represent many things in a dream... the keeper of hidden knowledge, for example and medicine. It also stands for the oppression of women and the blame shame and guilt mankind has subtly shadowed women with in religion and culture. This is even in the garden of Eden story in the Bible. The snake told Eve to eat the apple bringing knowledge of good and evil to the world. The bite is probably a message that this SNAKE has injured you in some way.Water translates to your life path... the fact that it was a swamp instead of a pristine lake or flowing river means you probably feel that your life is a little murky at the moment. Re- assess what you are doing and try a new approach. Use your own interpretation and know that dreams sometimes have powerful messages for us.
