You do not need to wash your rabbit unless it's bottom and tail is covered in faeces. Washing rabbits removes all their natural oils which help to keep them warm.. Most of the sites you have read from will probably be written by breeders, who only bath their rabbits because they want to win at shows. Then psychology takes over and assumes that because we wash regularly, everything else needs to too.

I work at a rescue and work with around 80 rabbits all the time.

I own a 2 yr old lopeared. I give him a bath about once every 2-3 months. I dont use any soaps though. Just warm water in the sink, never filling it up, just letting it run over him. He does very well as long as you avoid the face. I found this is a good time to clip his nails and brush him as well. Just make sure the water isnt too hot or too cold. If you do this regularly, it will keep their fur soft as well as get them used to the process, just not alot due to the sensitivity of their skin. Always reward with a veggie or fruit afterwards. I also towel dry, never use a blowdryer.:)

rabbit unless they are extremly messy don't need baths. Infact it would likely do more harm then good. Most shampoos will dry out the sensitive skin of rabbits. If your rabbit has fleas you can use advantage for kittens on them. Stop going ot those websites and go to these instead.

ok first of all ur bunnie shouldnt have fleas unless its outside on the ground often and rabbits are like cats they bathe themselves so if it does get dirty u should clean it but not that often also u can bathe them if they are show rabbits like mine and u show them in competitions but i dont even bathe mine and they are clean.

i do not know where you heard this info, but it is actually not a good idea to bathe a rabbit, there skin can become irritated, and the flea sampoo is not needed since rabbits rarely get fleas/

Never heard of bathing a bunny, as they groom themselves. If absolutely needed, I would consult the breeder.

I just put soap on a wash rag and then wipe it on them. Do it every 3 months or so.

Don't do it too often because it could dry out their skin and make it itchy. Only do it when it is absolutely neccesary.
