Desperate Housewives all the way! grant it I've never actually sat down for an episode of Sex in the City, it just looks so bad and I can't stand Sarah Jessica Parker. Desperate houswives even found a way to appeal to straight men too, it's the best!

Totally diferent, and for a complete diferent kind of audience.
Anyway, i kind of like both since i'm a woman in her thirties, economically sufficient, and without a significant relation ship, and looking for love as the characters of Sex and the city.
But at the same time i'm a howsewives cause i have a son, and i run a house, and i understand some of the problems that the Desperate Housewives have to deal with.
So, maybe if you are a desperate housewife, or your environment is full of this kind of women, you will enjoy this satire of the home situations, because you will see part of your life or the persons around you lifes reflected on the show.
But if you are still dating, your friends are still single, you kind of look at those married girls condescently as they look at you. Then you will laught and feel Sex and The City situations as your mirror.
Both are great, but i guess Sex and the City has more sucesfull seasons, and all of them are great, meanwhile Desperate Housewives, the second season was not as funny as the first one, so i don't know if it is gonna be abble to remain.

Desperate Housewives, especially the 1st season. You actually had to use your head and is an intelligent show unlike Sex and the City.
