I am running a cable to the house from the garage for a 200 amp service panel, and have the cable through the conduit, but getting it into the l-body to run it up inside the garage wall is proving impossible, the four wire 4/0 cable just does not want to bend so tightly.

Take the conduit apart and run the cable through it one piece at a time. 4/0 is some pretty stout stuff and it will still be a struggle although one that is doable.

Maybe you should try gettting more flexible cable, like a type SOOW cable. Try using a larger bend radius.
Dont you think that a 4 core , 4/0 AWG cable is a bit over sized for a normal house? unless you have a rather large building or are using it to run other heavy machinery as well.
If the cable just wont slide in smoothly, try using some grease on the leadfing edge of the cable, or use a pulling compound. Thaty way it will move more freely. Wipe off the grease / compound after use.
Best of Luck!

.Try this too,,, Soap up the cable before running it into the conduit. Use a liquid detergent or liquid hand soap

Some liquid soap will help it slide through. Good luck, its tough getting wires around a bend.
