Do you think Fear, Laughter, and Love have their own memory spots in the brain? and that they aren't just connected to the regualr spot in the brain where memory is placed?
I read an article saying that an experiment conducted over 100 years ago a patient with sever memory loss, had a doctor and the doctor would come in everyday and say his name and put out his hand to shake hers. Then he would come in 15 minutes later and she would not know who he was. Then one day he did the same thing except when he put his hand out he had a pin attached to it and it poked the patient and she screamed. Then as he always did he came back in 15 minutes later, she had no idea who he was, he had removed the pin from his hand and he placed his hand out but the patient would not put her hand out for some reason. Why did she do this if she can't remeber anything? I just want to see peoples thinking on fear memory.

Fear, laughter and love are all emotions, and yes, there is definately a specific area of the brain that focuses on emotion (Amygdala). Emotions can definately have an effect on memory - look at eyewitness memory research for more information.

Yes, fear definitely does. I really don't know why, but I really am afraid of the buzzing machine barbers use. It must come from a bad memory from the childhood, even though I don't remember it. I don't see why laughter and love would have their own places too, if fear does.

Hmmm... Probably not a place in the brain, but because some things stick better in peoples' minds than other things.
