I think that there's an underlying assumption you are making in asking such a question: that good things SHOULD happen to good people, and bad things SHOULD happen just to bad people, as if "life should be FAIR!" But life often isn't fair at all--things often happen to us, both good and bad, due to factors that are totally beyond our control. We need to thoroughly enjoy the good times and learn to get through the bad, and the better we are able to do both the better a life we will make for ourselves.

Because good things also happen to good people and bad things also happen to bad people. Good and bad things happen to everyone. Life's like that. It's best you just learn to deal with it.

It seems that happens a lot. However, I do know that good things do happen to good people if they work hard at something and get rewarded. I also know that bad things happen to bad people when they get caught by the police and thrown into jail.
