The contact info that the user gave craigslist is a throwaway temporary email address. The contact info for that address is also temp/throwaway. That sort of chain could go on for a lot of bouncing around. It would take too many resources to track the culprit down, and the cat is long gone... no way that person still has it, and you can't prove anything. Was the cat microchipped?
