You might be wanting to think this way - don't expect them to ever close. It has been too long. BUT you never know for sure. Sometimes the hole may develope a very very thin kinda membrane and you just have to push your earring through... almost feels like you are peircing a new hole.
But to completely close? - doubt it.

If you've gotten your ears pireced 13 years ago, and your ears haven't closed up yet within that time span.. it could possibly be never? I'm not 100% confident with that answer.

BUT for personal experience... I got my ears pierced when I was a baby and I'm almost 20 now. I stopped wearing my ear rings when I was probaly around junior high, and my piercings are still open. But I do notice sometimes when I have tried putting ear rings on, it seems a little difficult putting them in.. as if they were closing.. but even now they're still open and i rarely wear ear rings.. so your piercings may not close at all..

I got my ears pierced at 16....I stopped wearing earrings at 21....I put a pair on once since then for my brother's wedding. I was 28 when he married. That is a 7 year span and the holes never closed.

They might never close....if you kept earrings in them for a long time... they might close up enough to where the earrings wont go back in...but u will most likely still see the hole/scar. The ones I got I know will be here for a LONG time lol.

They probably will not close. I have two also that I got when I was 16 and only wore them for 4 or 5 years and I'm in my 30's now.... They still have not closed.

Ear piercings take time to close and heal, especially if you had them in yur ears for a long time. The bigger the hole the longer it will take to heal. You can try things like lotion and such to keep your ear lobes moistuerized, it may help in the process, but other then that just time.

piercings usually become permanent after 3 years or so of use. even if the hole does manage to close up, there will still be a mark. besides, why would you want them to close anyway?
