Jealous of the attention Troy and Gabriella's newfound talents have received; Ryan and Sharpay set out to restore the "natural balance" of life. Their plan: break up Troy and Gabriella, so they will not want to be in the spotlight. In an attempt to break the two up, Sharpay fakes drowning at the pool, which means that lifeguard Troy has to give her mouth to mouth. At the same time, Ryan makes Gabriella think that Troy is cheating on her with Sharpay. There will be a completion at a Country Club. Will Troy and Gabriella end up back together and sing at the completion or will Sharpay and Troy be feeling the start of something new? The producer, Bill Borden, has confirmed that Troy will kiss Gabriella, and that there will be a musical number that occurs at the swimming pool. Meanwhile they organize a country club and golf club that all employees have to preform an act. Ryan falls for a new girl but they are competing against the girl.

The plot involves Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor who organize a talent show at the local golf and country club to which Sharpay, Ryan, and their family belong and where Troy has a summer job as a lifeguard. And Gabriella and Troy are boyfriend and girlfriend!!! They will compete against another country club! Ryan begins to fall for a new girl from the other country club named Aurora Foster. But since the other country club is against The Evans's country club, Sharpay keeps Ryan away from Aurora and Theodore, Aurora's brother, keeps her away from Ryan. In the end, Troy and Gabriella will kiss, Taylor and Chad will kiss, and Ryan and Aurora will kiss!!! This sequel is said to be the best sequel of High School Musical EVER!!!!!

The movie is set at Ryan and Sharpay's Parents country club. There is a pool and Troy is a lifeguard there. Sharpay pretends to drown and makes Troy give her mouth to mouth while that is happening Ryan makes Gabriella believe that Troy and Sharpay love each other and Gabriella gets really upset. ok basically what happens is.. is that on the last day of school everyone is looking for a job. ( troy, gabriella, sharpaye,ryan,chad, and monique) so they all decide to like get jobs at the country club that sharpaye and ryans family owns. so there a talent show and if sharpaye wins the country club will be named after her but now that gabriella is working there she can enter and sharpaye feels that she might loose. so she decides to fake drwoning in the pool because troy is the life gaurde, and if she drowns, troy will have to give her mouth to mouth resesitation, making it look like there kissing.. so ryan tells gabriella that troys cheating on her. thats all i no.
