Challenge your thoughts with positive thinking, even get encouragement from reading or other people as well, and you can move on. :)

Anexity is sometimes a serious issue. if you let anxiety take over or you don't get it in control properly its highly likely that you will develop panic attacks. which you don't want. i've been in your shoes. no medicine and no therapy. i thought it would just go away. well it didn't. i now have panic attack every night and unless you wanna feel like your literally dying every night or day then i highly suggest you at least go to some type of therapy. if its caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain then no. its not possibly for it to go away on its own and even stress release exercises won't make it go away. you need to see someone. dont let this run your life cuz stress will kill you.

I'd suggest you see this site:
http://www.nimh.nih.gov/publicat/anxiety.cfm#anx9

Although it recommends medical treatment, in the section,
"Ways to Make Treatment More Effective" there are some things that might help.

I'd suggest you start by speaking with a doctor.

Challenge your thinking. When you start to worry about something, challenge those thoughts.

For example: "I'm really worried that I will die in a car accident"
Ask yourself "how likely is it that this will happen to me? Not very likely"

Focus on something else and listen to music that's unrelated to what you're obsessing about.
