I"m white woman and I'm married to a black man. I have been called white trash and all kinds of names (that I don't want to say because there not very nice)just because I'm with a black man. Why do people get so upset when one person is a different skin colour than the person they are going out or married to them. I just do get it myself we all bleed red blood and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Black is the absence of color

White is the result of all colors mixing together.

Black and white together is perfection, the complete totality of all in the spectral plane.

people who don't understand that are simply color blind.

And we don't get upset at people who are handicapped, whether in their vision or in their mind. We forgive them, we love them and we move on.

I don't think it's true. A cute face/body is a cute face/body -- unless you are a racist. Also people's beliefs have gotten in the way. If white men believe there is no way black women will be interested in them, they're more apt to ignore black women. They're also sometimes intimidated to date black women because they believe all the sexual stereotypes about black men. They may secretly believe they can't compete with black men sexually. Many black men believe they are the only men who can truly love black women. Likewise, for years many black women believed white men were only interested in sex with them and not real relationships, marriage, etc. Many black women refuse to be treated that way. They want respect just like any other woman. I think that overall, the fears of being rejected have slowed things down between white men and black women. It's like why go there if that person would never be interested anyway? It's somewhat similar to how straight women "generally" do not pursue homosexual men. What's the point? Fortunately, a lot of the old beliefs are passing away and people are able to pursue relationships according to how they really feel.

For some reason people in America are caught up on race and just can't see past it. I am sure that you are a very nice person but you have to understand that there are people who were bred to dislike other peolple because of the color of their skin. We are all prejudice against someone for one reason or another but the most important thing that you can do is teach your children (if you have some) not to treat others in an unfair way based on their race. As far as some black women who are ignorant about black men being with white women, they seem to feel like there is a lack of good black men (because they are in jail, on drugs or gay) and the good ones go to white women, but me being a black female feels like if you love them race shouldn't matter. Keep your head up and remember that people always want something to talk about...they would probably say you were racist if you were dating a white man. Good Luck/

What other way would you divide friendly people from racist? They show their true childish feelings so you can reject them from your life and care. It is cruel... Some of them have chance to change attitude, some will feel hatred and aversion for all their life. Somehow I think it is wright to keep racist people on distance. If they show they dont want to be arround diffrent colored people then maybe when their company will become a small group they will feel some need to look for new friends in other races. If no I guess forcing them to like others is rather wrong. Some people are so much stubborn that they need a lot of time and space to make such step... Racism is totaly childish in my eyes.

They are still in that time of being racist, I'm part black and lived around black people my whole life, they believe he's traded side, I know it's not right but u should know there are blacks who do not care, live life honey, be happy, In a way what u are doing is impacting the society, as long as you love him you can get over anything, there just mad, I think it's perfectly alright and so does my friends here.

there are people who get upset
about all sorts of relationship combinations

and there are people who mind their own business

--be the best representation of your particular marriage
--consider re-locating to a more tolerant neighborhood

what does your husband think you both should do?

ideally, it would be nice if you could just
live your lives and concern yourselves w/more important matters
--other than what ignorant people think & say

but if you can't avoid the people
who think
that you need to hear their negative opinions about your choices,
you'll have to be vigilant
about not allowing their attitudes
to affect your love for one another

g'luck
be careful.
you're on shaky ground.

Color' s not the issue culture is. There is no difference between black and white. The difference is people. They are the ignorant ones. As long as your family love him that is cool. I wouldn't worry about society.

Well I'm Hispanic and my boyfriend is black.
People stare at us, and I can see some Hispanic men make little comments, but then again I see black women make little comment and stare as well. Well I think its just a social taboo and well to be honest i think the American people might say the accept interracial dating but in reality they don't. Just don't let it bother you and try to ignore it. And it hard but many people are just plain ignorant.

I've heard (don't know if its true) that the genetic difference between white and black is one line of DNA which is a very small number considering how much DNA our body consist of. I am sorry that people are such "jerks" when it comes to this.
