Cinnamon is good because it is a warming tonic for the blood. So it isn't a complete waste of time, because it does keep things going. There are other things that could be better, or in addition to the cinnamon bark, that could help. Like I would make sure my liver was healthy by taking milk thistle seed and/or turmeric root, and I would start cooking with ginger root and garlic more - both natural cholestrol lowerers.

Heard about cinnamon, but haven't heard any definitive results. I use inositol hexaniacinate, a chelated niacin, very inexpensive, about 1000 mg a day, and my cholesterol dropped 60 points into the safe zone. Niacin is well documented as a cholesterol lowerer.

My husband has two stents in his heart and he takes a tablespoon of grapeseed oil every day. It has been proven to lower the bad cholesterol and raise the good cholesterol. Last week they cut his Lipitor dosage in half and will be eliminating it after that.

He makes sure to have cinnamon every day to help control his blood sugars as he is diabetic as well.

Make sure the cinnamon is water soluble. Add some fresh garlic daily. Stop eating corn and grain products which make your cholesterol go up. Make sure you are sweating everyday and eat grass fed meats also. Good luck and good health to you!!!
