Alexander called no place home.
All these other empires had capitols and seats of power.Alexander did not.His "throne" was where ever his tent was pitched. It was years into his campaign of domination before he founded the city of Alexandria in Egypt.

If you like Heavy Metal (yes,it DOES deserve to be capitalized!) then check out "Alexander The Great" by Iron Maiden.Rockin' tunes with a history lesson! What could be better than that?!
