Honestly, I'd LIKE to see Senator Obama run for the Democrat Party nomination... I'd LIKE to hear WHERE and for WHAT he actually STANDS for.
I heard his speach for the '04 Convention and will GIVE him plaudits for his oratory skills... the man CAN talk well.
However, I've heard VERY little else of SUBSTANCE... but that is the way of MOST politicians these days... all image and little stand.
I would have NO problem with is race or name.
Honestly, I don't think Hillary is "competent" or "honest" or "intelligent"... the woman is her Husband and Bush rolled into one with an added dose of socialism.
I'm fiscally a Republican, Morally a Federalist, Environmentally a Democrat, and Militarily a Republican

Absolutely Obama should run for President and you might be surprised at how many white Americans would vote for him including myself. He was smart enough to know we had no business being in Iraq and had the guts to stand up and vote against going. I think you'll find that for the people who race would be an issue, they won't be at the polls to vote anyway. They are probably not smart enough to use the voting machines.

If he's nominated I will vote for him. But I think he should let another Democrat get elected in '08, serve a second term, then run himself in 2016. By then he'll have plenty of seasoning. Right now the only legitimate knock against him is that his resumeis thin. He just got there.

There is a good chance I would vote for him, but it depends who the other candidates are as well. I would definitely NOT vote for Hillary Clinton. I'm not sure about the fact that he's inexperienced would matter or not.

Although I really like Obama, I believe he lacks political experience and will not make it through the primaries as a presidential hopeful. I think his best chance for the White house is as the Vice Presidential hopeful.

What are his beliefs. he should run so people can say I voted for a black man and they can feel good about it. in the end no matter who the pres is makes very little difference.

Yes, he should run on the democratic ticket. America needs to get back on track and a democrat running for office is just what the Republicans need to set things right and guarantee a victory for all of America.

My beef with Obama is that he agrees with people who say that, "we need to cut the apron strings, and force the Iraqis to run their own country." How MESSED up is that? First we destroy their country's infrastructure; then we bring martial law to their streets; then we force millions of Iraqis to seek exile in neighboring countries because of violence for which we are largely responsible, and what do these so-called liberal politicians do? BLAME THE IRAQIS!
It makes me sick. The only way Obama will get my vote is if he stops perpetuating the racist myth that the Iraqis are welfare queens.

I want Obama to stay a senator for a while. He needs more experience. But I really like him and wish him well.
