depends on your definition of affair
if you are talking about someone having sex while in an exclusive commited relationship with another, yes, that is bad because it is a violation of trust.
if you are talking about two single people having sex, who cares.
My mom is married to a guy that went to high school with me. She is 65 and he is 43. They have been happily married for 10 years. It was a bit weird at first since I knew him from high school but it is no big deal anymore.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you are an F-F couple based on the category this question comes from. Do you remember being 20? At 20 you really don't know anything. It is entirely possible that she doesn't even know if she'll end up being into you or someone more masculine in a few years.
I'm your age but straight so I don't even pretend to know how complicated your life and decisions may be but if you're going to rob the cradle, you've got to do so with the wisdom of your years. You've got to know from the outset that it is you (and not she) who is likely the play thing. Take the good times for what they're worth with the clear understanding that she isn't miss right, she's miss right now.

If they truly love each other and neither of them are being used by the other, then why does age matter. Ain't their 20 year olds who marry 60 year olds or the other way around? If love isn't limited by gender and/or sex, then why age? Again, I'm talking about both ways, not just one.
To me, it would seem rather silly not to go on with a perfect soul mate just because they were several years younger or older then you.

if you are worried about that..... try this one I am 60 and my girlfriend is 26 that's right 34 years difference ... all I ever worry about is having to leave her too soon as I love her more than I can put into words .....she has no problem with the age difference and has taught me that it does not matter... so to us...... it does not matter....period!!!! No one will ever love her like I do and she has stated this repeatedly so go figure, affairs of the heart are just that.... of the heart and its has little recognition of age, gender, skin color, religion, income or whatever else you want to throw its way ..... hope that helps.

age doesn't matter, you're both adults. Affairs matter. If the persons involved, back off. You're asking for trouble. Whos knows? The spouse/significant other might be have a screw loose.
