i can't add details for some reason, so im using a new question to do so

wanna make a comic of a character with the imrpoved personality, and he wants to write a novel of the same character with the old unimproved personality. and he noes nothing about cartoon characters. he hates being an idealist cuz he thinks that i use him so he can come up with ideas and then i 'steal em' and make em my own. for crying out loud, i give him credit for everything and he still doesn't like this. i do this idealist thing with all my friends in skewl and they have no prob. soo, who's right and who's wrong? i don't care if he sells the book; we just need to establish a personality for the character, but he believes he's right and doesn't wanna do so. HELLPPPPP PLEEEEZZZZZ!!!! this has been goin on for 2 years now and i want it to end
thank u soooo much

Yeah, I too would like to refer back to my answer to your other question, and point out a) your spelling is awful -- take care of that before you attempt to do any serious comic book work. b) Stop stealing everyone else's ideas, man!! What are you, incapable of coming up with your own or something???

In addition to my previous answer--y'all might want to add into your agreement that, in the future, he needs to stop sharing ideas with you if he's going to be proprietary about them, or to learn to clarify "Look, I want to do something with this idea," otherwise. He shouldn't get in the habit of riffing ideas off of you and only deciding they're worthwhile once you do something with them.

You seem to be a creator who likes the energy of working with other people's ideas. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you're up front about it: "Can I use this in a comic?" For the most part, ideas (like titles) can't be copyrighted. The work can. But still... if your comic's a big success, you don't want that to be tainted by hard feelings, and if it isn't, you certainly don't want to have ruined the relationship with your brother.
