Why do guys marry plain jayne's?

I know this is a generalisation! Is it cause there's a threat that the more attractive ones will go off?! And they are playing it safe?!

Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing 'Plain Jayne's! And I know beauty is only skin deep but it was just an observation of mine.

maybe because they aren't all shallow and look deeper inside the person than skin deep! Us "plain janes" can offer a man much more than outer beauty

We will marry anyone who we think is right for us. The plain jane thing is a mask!! Get, for example, some celebrity... Britney Spears!!! She looks lovely on her videos, dressed up, make up... but shes sooooooo plain in real life. Women are more about production/image/behaviour.
What you women don't know is that we men look at you in a very good way. Once we find you attractive, you'll b attractive forever. Example: dsnt matter how gud looking u r, simply dress up according do good fashion standards, make sure u get the look by asking highly clued up ppl, be sweet, warm and prove that you have aims in life such as career and family and not only looking for a fat wallet. That's it, you r the most beautiful ever!!! You r what u want to be.
Simple steps: dress up, become attractive, be a woman, a real woman into future, career, growing, family, confident, sweet, open, warm. Can't go wrong.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and beauty is only skin deep-meaning: YOU may see Plain Jane but he sees the most beautiful woman in the world and there are lots of "pretty" faces out there w/absolutely no personality or real qualities that count in the long run.

Men marry "plain jaynes" cause women who are "plain jaynes" tend to care more about the man their with and lives then women who are attractive tend to care more about the own looks and how people look at them. a man wants someone who will love to just be with them. not somone who wants too look better then other girls and most attractive girls want other guys too look at them even if they have a man.

My husband is fairly better looking than me and I am a "plain Jane".
But, He would never have a fear of losing a "more attractive" woman. Some of his ex's were VERY attractive, and he broke up with them, and some of them still stalk him.
He told me that we got along so well because I'm more down to earth, and not high maintenance. (at least that's what he thought, but i'm a real Pain in the a**) Hehehehe.

Your right, your generalizing! WE all have our own preseption on who is plane, pretty, cute or beautiful.

Maybe the plane jaynes you have seen deserve a good man, or maybe these men who you feel are picking the plane jaynes really feel their beautiful!!

IT really only a rich man who can land and keep a knock out beautiful lady................but only cause he has the money!!

The other knock dead beauties still have no self esteem and end up with punks and losers, only because the beauties don't know any better.

Not always, I think people marry for a variety of reasons, but if you marry a beautiful woman, you need to be a very secure man, since she will always attract attention. But you are the one that she goes home with every night, right?
It really depends on the guy and on the circumstances involved.

Maybe because he loves her. Just because a woman, as you put it, is plain, doesn't mean that she's not intelligent and has attracted her man in other ways other than her looks. A man would have to be pretty sad to marry someone just to play it safe.
